PubBridge (Windows app) ยท Last updated 18 August 2026

PubBridge does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. It is a local file-conversion tool: your documents are converted on your own PC by software already installed on it, and nothing about them is sent anywhere.

The short version. No accounts. No telemetry or analytics. No advertising. No data sent to us or to any third party. Your files never leave your computer.

What the app does with your files

When you convert a publication, PubBridge automates two applications that are already installed on your PC: Microsoft Publisher exports the .pub file to PDF, and Adobe Acrobat Pro converts that PDF to .pptx. Both steps run locally, in your own Windows session, on your own machine.

What the app stores on your PC

These are program files, not personal data. The app also reads two Windows registry keys to detect whether Microsoft Publisher, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and (optionally) Microsoft Publisher 98 are installed. It reads those keys only; it does not modify them, and the result is used solely to enable or disable features in the app window.

The app keeps no history of the files you convert and writes no log files. The only thing it remembers between runs is the free-trial count described above.

Network use

The conversion pipeline itself makes no network connections at all. The app contains no telemetry, no crash reporting, no update checks, and no analytics of any kind.

The one exception is purchasing: if you buy a conversion pack, the app asks the Microsoft Store for your purchase and remaining balance, which requires an internet connection. That exchange is between your PC and Microsoft's services.

Purchases

PubBridge is free to install; conversions are paid for through conversion packs sold as Microsoft Store in-app purchases. All payments are handled entirely by the Microsoft Store. We never see, receive, or process your name, address, payment card, or Microsoft account details. Microsoft provides us only with aggregated sales and payout reporting, which does not identify individual customers.

Your remaining conversion balance is held by the Microsoft Store against your own Microsoft account. Microsoft's handling of your purchase is governed by the Microsoft Privacy Statement.

Third-party software

PubBridge drives Microsoft Publisher and Adobe Acrobat Pro, which are licensed to you by Microsoft and Adobe and governed by their own privacy policies and settings โ€” not by this one. We do not change their configuration beyond installing the Acrobat automation script described above, and, for the duration of a conversion run only, temporarily setting Windows' default printer to "Microsoft Print to PDF" (it is restored when the run ends).

This website

This site is a static page with no cookies, no trackers, and no analytics. It is served by a standard web host which, like all web servers, may record ordinary request logs (including IP addresses) for security and operational purposes. We do not use those logs to identify visitors.

Children

PubBridge is a general-purpose productivity tool. It is not directed at children, and because it collects no personal information from anyone, it collects none from children.

Your rights

Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to access, correct, export, or erase on request. Any data relating to your Store purchase is held by Microsoft; requests about it should be directed to Microsoft.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date. Material changes affecting how the app handles your information will also be noted in the app's Microsoft Store listing.
